Onshore Drilling, Oman
Our Medic was mobilised to support the onshore drilling of two wells
in Oman where our client's culturally diverse team consisted of 70 personnel.
A satellite communication system was available for the medic to have
priority use during an emergency.
Engineering Contractor, Qatar
Frontier Medical was requested to support a project
to undertake ROV operations during the installation of bases
for oil and gas pipelines in Qatar.
An offshore medic was mobilised to support the clients own Doctors
that are in place for emergencies and routine medical advice. The Frontier Medic
is responsible for standard healthcare and health promotion, first aid training,
to attend safety meetings, collecting and disseminating health and safety statistics
on the clients internal system and stock control of PPE equipment.
Construction Company, Iraq
Our client is reconstructing power plants
in Kurkuk and Baghdad. Each site has a clinic facility, classed as a First Aid Station that the
Frontier medics are working from. Two of the project areas have established clinics with some medical
stores. The third camp had no clinic facility prior to Frontier starting. Frontier Medical
has supplied, through medekit.com, a crash kit and a range of pharmaceutical items for each
of the First Aid Stations.
Construction Company, Iraq
Our client is the Ministry of Defence's (MOD)
CONLOG-Logistics project management provider when the MOD is on operations
worldwide. Frontier are the clients medical provider and supply Doctors,
Anaesthetists, A&E and ITU nurses in support of the military field
hospitals. During the Iraq campaign Frontier's staff were the Team Leaders
in both the casualty and ITU departments, during a 20-month service contract.
British Organisation, Iraq
Since June 2004 Frontier Medical has been supporting
our client in Iraq, this has involved the supply of two clinics through its associate
company medekit.com. These clinics have been designed to ensure a full range of GP
and trauma care support provided by Frontier Medical.
Offshore Seismic Company, UAE
A ships medic was mobilised on board a seismic vessel
in the Middle East to provide medical support to the crew on this short 7-10 day
project. During this project there was an incident that required the Medic to
provide counselling to one of the crewmembers.
Oil exploration, Yemen
Due to the lack of effective medical cover in the region,
a contract was awarded to assist in the setting up of a clinic within an office
compound in Aden. Full time medical staff were provided who helped obtain
necessary items and organised the supply of drugs. Once the clinic was established,
a comprehensive occupational health system was put into place, providing immediate
care to employees and families. In addition the clinic was used from time to time
when a serious accident occurred outside the immediate area. As well as the clinic,
support included providing rig site paramedics and the establishment of a detailed
medical plan. The paramedics also managed the Safety and Loss Control management system.
Oilfield Development and Production, Oman and Qatar
Frontier Medical established and managed a
comprehensive medical clinic at the Safah oil
production facility in Oman. Supporting a
workforce of over 600, the clinic included a
trauma response and resuscitation unit. Frontier Medical
was also responsibile for the supply and
importation of drugs and medical equipment required
to support the project. Frontier Medical's
relationship with the client was extended to
provide medical services on a project in Qatar,
which entailed the provision of comprehensive medical
support to an offshore drilling operation, as
well as first aid training.
Oil production, Yemen
Frontier is contracted to provide a number
of doctors and nurses to an oil production programme in Yemen.
Working at two locations Frontier is responsible for the entire
medical management of the project, including health care programmes
with the local community. medekit.com has been supplying this project
with all the necessary medical supplies and equipment.
Onshore and Offshore Seismic, Africa, Middle East and South Asia
Frontier Medical has played a key role in
ensuring high standards of health at a number of clients'
operations worldwide. Services provided have included
first aid training to seismic crews in Pakistan and
Algeria, a medic/safety advisor to a remote site project
in mountainous terrain in Oman, on-site medical support
in Chad, and the provision of medical services on board
seismic vessels offshore West Africa.
