Pharmacist - ref FMPH
Applications are now invited from suitably qualified and experienced Pharmacists
to join our team of civilian healthcare professionals based within the NATO sponsored Military
Hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Applicants should be members of the Royal Pharmaceutical
Society of Great Britain and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, with at least
three years post-registration clinical experience in NHS secondary care.
Working alongside a military Pharmacist, the principal duties of the post are to
provide a high quality clinical pharmacy and dispensary service, and ensure the safe, appropriate
and effective use, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals across the Hospital. IV drug administration,
critical care and paediatric pharmacy experience is preferred.
The role is non-military, but personnel will be accommodated in a military
environment and are required to abide by military standing orders. Applicants
must be physically fit, with an outgoing attitude and a willingness to fit in
as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
