Consultant Neurosurgeons - ref FMN
Applications are now invited from GMC registered Consultant Neurosurgeons with CCST or equivalent, to fulfil
a requirement for our contract to provide civilian medical support to the NATO sponsored
Military Hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan. This is manned by nationals from Canada, Netherlands,
Denmark, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
This would perhaps suit a Neurosurgeon wishing to take a short term sabbatical or
even a recent retiree. This is a short term, three month contract, commencing December 2008
to February 2009 for a Neurosurgeon with trauma experience to relieve the present incumbent.
The nature of the work is the treatment of trauma related injuries sustained by
the whole community, mainly shrapnel and bullet injuries. This is a challenging environment
to deliver neurological care, but rewarding when satisfactory outcomes are achieved for
what would otherwise be fatal injures.
If you feel you can meet this criteria please forward your resume
or telephone Adrienne Allen on + 44 (0)1594 545125 for further details.
