PM Boost for Frontier's Team in Iraq
|
| | | Prime Minister Tony Blair brought a smile to Frontier Medical's Baghdad-based support
team during a recent whistle stop trip to Iraq. |
Despite only being in the country for a brief three-hour visit, Mr Blair spent five minutes
chatting to Frontier Medical medic, Eileen Hudson, when he toured the British Embassy
to meet and thank employees and British and American troops.
For Eileen, pictured shaking hands with Mr Blair, it was a first-ever meeting with a PM.
"It was very exciting and a real pleasure to meet him," she said. "Probably a
once in a lifetime opportunity. He spent quite a while talking and was really
interested in everything we are doing here.
"At a time when pre-election security measures have allowed little freedom
for any of us working here in Baghdad, we really appreciated his visit."
Eileen is one of six Frontier Medical staff based in Iraq providing
field medical support from a portable clinic, delivered and fully equipped
through medekit.com.
